Na Honu O Kalapana (Michael Davis)

It’s a Honu World™ presents:

Na Honu O Kalapana by Michael Davis

“A huge mahalo to It’s a Honu World™, without this project I would not have found myself being a part of such a wonderful experience. Besides, not everybody gets to enjoy having a honu embrace their parlor!

“While living on the doorstep of Pele in Kalapana it surely isn’t a challenge to wake up everyday and feel inspired. Na Honu O Kalapana came from the direct contact of the recent action of lava that has illuminated lower Puna, and continues to re-enforce and remind its’ residents of the Power of Now. Don’t blink, it just might be gone. Do not envy, because you’re already empowered.

“I have been on the Big Island for five years while living and teaching art in Pahoa and in Keaukaha’s, Ke Ana La’ahana PCS. Working with young people, teaching art and coaching track & field in Pahoa finds my life’s path gravitating towards all good things that manifest itself in a nurturing, positive nature.”
