Russell Chin of Matson presents:

Lae Kupuna by Kamehameha Schools – Hawai’i Campus

To support Queen Lili’uokalani Children’s Center

Matson Navigation Company and the Kamehameha Schools Hawaii Campus present to you, “Lae Kupuna,” a symbol of nature and being and the very foundation of our heritage, culture, and values. The wisdom of Lae Kupuna is passed on through generations by our Kupuna (elders) and is perpetuated through the hearts and souls of our keiki (children). As their guardian, Lae Kupuna nurtures and guides our keiki through their voyage of life.

Lae Kupuna was created through the vision of the keiki and staff of the Kamehameha Schools Hawaii Campus. From the inception of Itʻs a Honu World™ to its completion, Lae Kupuna has been guided by faith and touched by an outpouring of Aloha. She has taken on a life of her own, with a heart filled with the love of her creators.

The lessons of Lae Kupuna’s creation, has been one of unity and goodwill: People working together to help people, children helping children. Lae Kupuna’s journey through the Big Island is designed to raise awareness for the Lili`uokalani Children’s Center’s commitment to orphaned and destitute children in the State of Hawaii, with preference given to those of Hawaiian ancestry.

In appreciation for the creation of Lae Kupuna, we humbly ask for your personal or corporate donation. The funds raised through this charitable drive will be used to support the centers community services throughout the Big Island. The needs of each community can vary, ranging from educational tutoring to substance abuse prevention and grief counseling. Through your sharing we can make this world a better place.
