Honu World Participant Newsletter!

Thank you Artists…

...from the deepest and dearest regions of our hearts. If you have not seen it yet, please read our “Mahalo” in the Hall of Fame.

Voting/Auction/Pre-bidding/Sale of auction paddles.

The online purchase of Bidding Paddles will be available soon. A price of around $25 will help auction costs (advertising, music, more) and will register/designate official bidders from those who simply want to watch.

Please help get the word out! Recently, one of the Artists sent a message to her family and friends asking them to vote for their favorite Honu. (She asked they be honest, not to vote for hers specifically) It promoted quite a bit of interest.

As we get closer to the auction events, we will send detailed information which you can forward to friends, family and potential bidders as announcements.

Looking for Volunteers to help at the auction with…

~Handling phone calls for off-site bidders.
~Manning tables, selling auction paddles and merchandise.
~Transporting Honu to auction site (see below).

To It’s a Honu World™ sponsored Honu Artists:

The success of this exhibit is in so many ways thanks to you. You made it possible to have “enough” Honu in the exhibit to make it fun for the community and all our visitors. We understand what is has been like to put a huge amount of thought, resources and effort into creating something simply for the sake of making it “appear.”

Therefore, if the Honu you painted auctions for more than its cost ($3,000), we will provide you with $500 and give you the choice of designating a charity for the additional money. To be prepared, we ask that you complete this form…

If your Honu auctions for more than $3,000, what charity would you have the additional money support?
Please provide the charity's details here (address, contact information, website address).

What happens after September?

More than likely It’s a Honu World™ will continue with it’s desire to do good things. “People” involved find it habit forming. So as we work through the remaining months of the exhibit and develop a truly unique and tremendously fun Auction weekend, we are putting thought into what lies ahead.
