Kate & Will Jacobson
Primarily known as potters, Kate & Will Jacobson’s thirty-year collaboration has given them fire, laughter, wonder and joy. Through their work they attempt to create a harmonious substance of form, line, and color. These explorations lead them to explore the world with their hearts as well as their minds. Their approach to making art is much more intuitive than pragmatic.
The Jacobson’s enjoy international recognition for their innovative style of firing, naked raku, and their highly developed technical skills. Kate & Will’s recent work explores the natural grace of the flora and fauna so abundant in their beloved Hawaii. For their contribution to “It’s a Honu World™”, the Jacobson’s will explore the honu as metaphor for the connections between land, sea and sky.
